Masses of rose-pink blooms top slender branches of mint-green foliage which turns a dark red colour in the fall. It is suitable as a ground cover or as a dwarf specimen.

Summer flowering spirea will flower with a good flush in late spring, and sporadically during the summer. To promote a second flush of bloom, remove spent flowers by pinching or light shearing. Pruning for shape should be done in early spring to allow the flower buds to form.
