The emerging foliage is a showy, bronzy-gold, turning to soft yellow-green in the summer, coppery-orange in the fall. It is covered in pink flowers on a low, mounded shape all season long.

Summer flowering spirea will flower with a good flush in late spring, and sporadically during the summer. To promote a second flush of bloom, remove spent flowers by pinching or light shearing. Pruning for shape should be done in early spring to allow the flower buds to form.
