Shirobana Spirea

A low spirea with white and crimson flowers appearing at the same time, sometimes in the same cluster. It will rebloom throughout the summer if you remove the spent flowers. Light blue-green foliage will take on shades of dark burgundy in the fall.

Summer flowering spirea will flower with a good flush in late spring, and sporadically during the summer. To promote a second flush of bloom, remove spent flowers by pinching or light shearing. Pruning for shape should be done in early spring to allow the flower buds to form.
