A very dainty, fine-textured, low-growing selection with powder-puff-like, pink flowers. The mint-green leaves turn dark red in the fall. A worthwhile edging or ground cover plant.

Summer flowering spirea will flower with a good flush in late spring, and sporadically during the summer. To promote a second flush of bloom, remove spent flowers by pinching or light shearing. Pruning for shape should be done in early spring to allow the flower buds to form.
