Blooming on new wood, it produces a profusion of lacy, white flowers in flat-topped clusters. Suitable for a foundation or border planting. Pale green leaves will turn to red in autumn.

Summer flowering spirea will flower with a good flush in late spring, and sporadically during the summer. To promote a second flush of bloom, remove spent flowers by pinching or light shearing. Pruning for shape should be done in early spring to allow the flower buds to form.
