Abundant, long plumes of light pink flowerheads float over the colourful foliage. The leaves emerge lime-green, change to gold and coral, and then finally to orange and red in the fall.

This plant will tolerate many types of soils i.e. rocky or dry, but not moist, low areas. It grows best in full sun, but will keep its colour in light shade. A light pruning will keep this bush to a manageable size, however, this will reduce blooming.
