Compact plants with single, golden-yellow flowers surrounded by a maroon halo above narrow, lance-shaped leaves.
Grows best in medium to dry, well-drained soil, in full sun. Establishes well in rocky soils and tolerant of heat, humidity and drought. Prune plants mid to late summer (August) to promote continuous blooming into the fall and to maintain shape. In good locations, this plant may self-seed.
