Large, rounded, pure white flower heads, known as umbels, are made up of many tubular flowers which open wide at the mouth. A reliable species for growing in a sunny border or container, in a sheltered position in the garden against a warm wall.

Needs winter protection, so if grown in patio containers, store in a cool location inside. After flowering, you may want to leave the tall flower stems uncut as they will produce interesting black seed pods persisting for the remainder of the season.
