A small, weeping, topgrafted tree with slender branches, grayish-silver catkins, and blue-green leaves with silvery undersides.
Salix purpurea is bitter and unpalatable to deer and rabbits.
Salix does well in wet locations, providing they are well-drained. Creates a small patio tree accent, a miniature version of a weeping willow.
