Rhus glabra

Smooth Sumac

Their branches are smooth rather than hairy like the species. The wide, spreading habit makes it a suitable choice for planting en masse or used as a screen. The green foliage turns bright red, orange, or purple in the fall and the upright reddish, fruit clusters will persist into the winter.
