Growing & Maintenance Tips for Asclepias tuberosa 'Hello Yellow'

A cultivar of the native perennial, growing in a dry to average, well-drained soil and is drought tolerant. Slow to emerge in the spring. Mature established plants seed freely. Asclepias tuberosa has a deep tap root and does not like to be disturbed once established. The tuberous root can rot in poorly drained soils. Susceptible to leaf rust.
