Dense, compact shrub of glossy green, aromatic leaves. Large clusters of very small, pale pink flowers open from deep reddish-purple buds in spring. Male cultivar; will not produce berries.

Skimmia prefer moist, acid, high organic matter soils, but tolerate limestone soils. Performs well in sun-dappled conditions. Foliage may scorch in full sun.
