An Asian pear with medium to large, flat-ended, russet-coloured fruit with a thick skin. The white flesh is crisp like an apple when ripe with a mild, slightly aromatic flavour. Ripens in late August.

Commonly served raw and peeled, Asian pears are too moist for baking.
Other Asian pears and 'Bartlett' are compatible. More than one cultivar must be planted in order to facilitate the best pollination and subsequent fruit production.
