The flowers on this charming, low-growing evergreen shrub are reddish and very tiny. A neat shrub ideal for use as a ground cover in shaded areas or as a low hedge. The green foliage changes to a bronze colour in the fall.

This plant is native to the central Appalachian Mountains of Eastern United States.
Paxistima makes a fine, low maintenance, ground cover and filler for moist soils with a high pH. It re-roots where branches touch the soil and grows best in full sun or partial shade.
