A dense, low-growing juniper with blue-green needles sporting a contrasting blue line on the upper leaf surface. It produces a large crop of showy, berry-like cones which resemble blueberries, hence the name.
Once established, junipers require little water. They will also tolerate a wide variety of soil conditions and require corrective pruning once a year. Spreading junipers present a low maintenance option to prevent erosion on hillsides.
