Lapin cherry is a self-pollinator, eliminating the need to plant more than one cultivar to produce fruit.
Cherry trees are adaptable to many types of soil but do not tolerate areas with standing water. Regular pruning in the winter keeps the crowns of the trees thin and prevents disease.
The ultimate size of your tree depends on the rootstock on which it is grafted.
