Slower growing than the species it displays an upright, pyramidal form with glossy, deep green, tiny needles and reddish new growth. The twisted, green branchlets are held on tiered branches.

Frequently used as Hindu Pan topiary.
This chamaecyparis cultivar benefits from full sun exposure and excellent drainage. Can be pruned for size or topiary. Special pruning note: cutting into old wood will leave a void in the foliage.
