This cultivar was bred at Evergreen Nurseries, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin to withstand bronze birch borer.
Though paper birches can tolerate drought, they grow best with cool roots. Underplant with a ground cover or mulch well, taking care to not heap mulch against the stem. Usually grown as a multi-stemmed clump, a single-stemmed specimen will also make a statement.
