An upright grass with intense, deep red colouring, creating an impressive show when planted en masse. The colour of the foliage will intensify if planted in full sun.
Warm Season Grasses: These grasses are much slower starting in the spring. They do not push new growth until temperatures warm in early to midsummer. They flower later in the summer or fall with most blooms remaining into the winter. Most warm season grasses tolerate heat, humidity and drought; some even thrive in these conditions.
Any pure green blades should be removed with the root section, to preserve the plant. This plant spreads slowly by rhizomes. Prune late winter to early spring to make room for new growth.
