Narrow, vertical petals are surrounded by an outer ring of cupped, soft orange sepals. The foliage is serrated, finely cut, and dark green.

Plant in an average to moist, fertile soil, in full sun or partial shade. Prune flowers back after the first flush to encourage new blooms and a tidier foliage. Clumps can be easily divided in the fall or early spring.
