The young shoots emerge a brilliant pink, while older leaves closer to the stems remain soft green and dappled in white. They are easily trimmed and maintained to a manageable height and shape and not prone to any major disease. The bright red stems are a dramatic contrast in the winter landscape.
It has an upright, outwardly spreading, growth habit. The developing leaves are pinkish-red in colour, fully expanded leaves are a green and greenish-white variegation. Thick, pink to red coloured stems are an added appeal.
