Peppermint (Corn Mint, Lamb Mint, Balm Mint, Curled Mint)

Small, pink, tubular flowers are displayed over the lance-shaped, green foliage. It is used as a culinary herb to improve the flavour of other foods and can be eaten raw or cooked.

Native to Ontario

A hybrid cross between M. aquatica x M. spicata. Peppermint oils are used in flavouring chewing gum, toothpaste and mouthwash. It is also used for culinary and medicinal purposes and in fragrances. 

Growing & Maintenance Tips for Mentha piperita

Grows best in a moist to wet soil, in full sun. Spreading by rhizomes and above-ground runners, this plant can be weedy or invasive.
