The leaves on the younger trees typically roll inward forming a tube and as the tree matures the foliage has a more laciniate form. A male specimen with bright green foliage which takes on shades of golden-yellow in the fall.
The botanical name of this cultivar is supposed to reflect the "tub" formed by the leaves, not the "tube".
A unique cultivar of ginkgo with its unusual, tube-like leaves. A great specimen in a smaller landscape. Ginkgo have no serious insect or disease problems, making it a low maintenance plant.
