Nice to meet you

Wow, what a crazy year we've been having. Stress from the news and the world around us can have a very real impact on physical and mental health. The pandemic has been changing a lot about how we used to do things. It's changed the way we work, the way we shop, and the way we spend our free time. People are trying new hobbies, and gardening saw a huge boom in interest since 2020. I've been an avid gardener for years and there's something very satisfying about taking an "ordinary" space and turning into somewhere with a sense of Place. That's what I think the real magic of a beautiful garden is, it takes your back yard and turns it into a destination, a place to get out and live.  It's a great way to boost your mood, improve your property value, and spend time with friends and family enjoying the space you've created.

But you can only enjoy those benefits if gardening is in reach for you. Last year even when the garden centres opened, there were lineups or difficulties with supply.  I noticed that a lot of people I knew were shut out from gardening. Either  because they live in the city with limited access to a car, or with a small car that can't exactly bring home that beautiful new tree, or just don't have the time to drive around to five different places, there are a lot of barriers to the way buying plants has been in the past. 

When we decided to start Antheia Gardens, we wanted to take everything good about the traditional garden centre and make it even better. We are a team of gardeners, horticulturalists, and landscapers with decades of experience building gardens here in Ottawa. It starts with great relationships. We want to get to know you through our love of building beautiful spaces.

Commitment to the environment

 We're always looking for ways to reduce our footprint. One of the projects you'll see coming soon are curated lists of plants that are native to this area that improve the health and wellbeing of our environment by supporting vital habitats for birds and insects. This is the first of many upcoming projects to foster stewardship of the environment. 

Ordering from Antheia

Ordering is simple - you can browse our plant inventory, select a delivery window, and we will start preparing your plants for delivery.

We will deliver straight to your door, no worries about taking a bunch of trips around the city, dirt and mess in your car, or how to fit a tree in your Prius. 

If you're having any issues with the plants you ordered from us, please get in touch. If you get us photos of any plants that are struggling within 2 weeks of delivery.
